So I’m 24, 230 pounds at 5’8 (pretty much obese) and I haven’t exercised for about 8 years. I started a diet about a week ago and started cardio every 2 days and working out every 3 days, also counting my macros wondering how much protein I should take in per day, I heard 1 g of protein per 1 lb of body weight but I can only squeeze in about 140 grams of protein because I’m vegetarian including 2 protein shakes per day. I’m cutting at 1900 calories per day. Any tips? Is 140g of protein enough to prevent loose skin or loss of muscle? I don’t want to end up being skinny fat or not being able to workout.
Day 49 of my fitness journey. I’m always hesitant of posting myself up because of my obesity but the chance to inspire and motivate someone out there gives me incredible courage and honor in doing so! I hope you all are using today to become even stronger tomorrow!
